House 8219
Dhali, Nicosia, Cyprus
The plot in which the house was designed is characterized by strong height differences. Creating a reception area at the level of the public sidewalk, the uses of the house were divided into two separate levels. The lower level which communicates directly with the courtyard and the pool, and the level of the bedrooms elevated in relation to the reception area. The design of all spaces was done in such a way as to take advantage of the view of the plot and the visual contact with the main garden of the house. An important element of the design is the open indoor garden along with the staircase leading to the lower level. On the first floor and outside the bedrooms, it has been proposed to install a cladding and sun protection system in the color of the wood, as a continuation of the use of earth colors in perfect harmony with the existing natural environment.
