House 8319
Kokkinotrimithia, Nicosia, Cyprus
The house in Kokkinotrimithia defines in the clearest way the separation of the private space with the public. Small and limited openings in the front facade, sometimes they are access to the house, and some are a place of visual communication or ventilation. In complete contrast, the interior of the house, which is almost entirely lined with large glass frames, opens into the central enclosed garden and the pool. In the east wing of the ground floor are placed more private spaces of the family. Large cantilevers on the ground floor and shading systems on the first floor in combination with the orientation of the building and other bioclimatic features that have been designed make the house zero energy consumption building.
