Latsia, Nicosia, Cyprus
The open spaces on the ground floor of the house together with the covered auxiliary spaces create an inner courtyard. The two wings on the ground floor are used to offer privacy to the tenants. The large openings in combination with the auxiliary shed create the feeling of an open space with the courtyard. The bedrooms and the office are located on the first floor of the building overlooking the pool and the garden. Large planted openings have been created in the facade of the first floor to allow air ventilation. On the south-east side of the bedrooms, rotating perforated metal systems have been designed that offer sun protection, allowing natural ventilation without obstructing the view to the garden.
