House 6217

Tseri, Nicosia, Cyprus

The simplicity in the development of the building program and the relationship with the design of the garden were the inspiration for this project. The L-shape on the ground floor level defines the clear boundaries of the outdoor area and the pool. Direct access to the outside is through the large glass doors. While the inner elevations are open, the facade of the house consists of more solid surfaces. Exceptions are the tall skylights to take advantage of natural light. Upstairs the bedrooms arranged in a row with the same features have a direct view contact with the garden. Axis rotating sun protection systems allow control of the sun and lighting without causing any problems in the view from the bedrooms.
