House 9320
Pera, Nicosia, Cyprus
This contemporary residential project, a collection of minimalist structures, is delicately integrated into the natural landscape, creating a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living. The design philosophy emphasizes tranquility, light, and the flow of space, embracing the beauty of simplicity and the luxury of open, uncluttered living.
The architectural forms are defined by their clean lines and planes, with expansive overhangs that provide both shade and a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. This simplicity is juxtaposed with the rich textures of natural materials such as stone and wood, which provide warmth and reference the natural setting. Large glass facades blur the boundaries between inside and outside, allowing for an immersive experience of nature from the comfort of elegantly appointed interiors.
An understated color palette ensures that the buildings do not compete with the landscape but rather complement it. Strategic lighting enhances the architectural forms, creating a soft glow that emphasizes the structures’ geometry and provides a welcoming ambiance.
The interiors are designed to maximize comfort and connectivity with the outside, with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views and flood the spaces with natural light. The open-plan layouts are flexible and spacious, encouraging a social lifestyle while also allowing for privacy when desired.
In essence, this residential project of GDM architecture represents a retreat that offers its inhabitants a serene and luxurious living experience, where the elegance of the architecture and the splendor of the natural environment are in constant, harmonious dialogue.
